DESCRIPTION:The South Carolina Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Statewide Transition Plan is\ngoing through a public comment period. During the public comment period, which will occur\nfrom Feb. 10 – March 12, 2021, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services\n(SCDHHS) is soliciting feedback for the following:\n\nSCDHHS is submitting a list of settings in the South Carolina Department of Disabilities\nand Special Needs (SCDDSN) network to CMS for heightened scrutiny review under\nCategory 2, defined as buildings on the grounds of, or immediately adjacent to, a public\ninstitution; and,\nThe final approved South Carolina HCBS Statewide Transition Plan, which has been\nrevised to reflect date changes, updated heightened scrutiny settings numbers, and other\ntechnical change revisions.\n\nThe comment period is Feb. 10 – March 12, 2021.\nA webinar will be held Feb. 17, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. to review the above information.
