We are pleased to share the story of one of our many kind and generous donors, Mr. James Connell. Mr. Connell had recently lost his wife when he got in touch with us. He remembered that when she was alive, she often visited with AccessAbility for help with assistive technology. In her memory, he wanted to return the favor and give back “to the place that helped her.” We appreciate Mr. Connell’s selflessness and loyalty during a tough time.
Mr. Bellamy felt like he hit a brick wall. He was having trouble keeping his balance and practicing self-care; everyday tasks that we often take for granted. Meet our friend Mr. Robert Streetman. Mr. Streetman was having issues getting around the home which were at odds with his high level of independence. After a meeting with our Independent Living specialists, he was able to obtain a walker and get back on track. He now sees no limitations in his daily life.
Through our loan closet, AccessAbility was able to provide Ms. Scott with a lift chair and other durable medical equipment. Ms. Scott is now able to be more independent in her home as well as the community. Date 6-8-2018
